Thai stars Yodwicha, Lerdsila and Pinpetch all Win at Karate Combat's Kickback 3 in Thailand

Karate Combat's first experience on Thai soil, the third edition of Kickback (Kickback is Karate Combat’s equivalent to UFC Fight Nights but puts higher focus on regional talent) took place in Bangkok this Thursday, November 14th, and introduced three of Muay Thai's biggest stars to the Karate Combat fanbase.

Yodwicha, Lerdsila and Pinpetch entered the pit, overcame the challenges with complete authority and showed a lot of potential for the organization. With more than 200 victories in his professional Muay Thai career, Yodwicha faced Iranian Vahid NIkkah in the main event of the night.

Marked by a good amount of exchanges from the beginning, the action turned into a monologue from the second round, when the Thai began to corner his opponent against the walls of the Pit, delivering strong knees and punches in a ground and pound. Tired of the beatdown, Nikkah forced the referee to stop the fight and victory was declared for Yodwicha by technical knockout. In the co-main event, Lerdsila faced Turach Novruzov, from Azerbaijan. With good exchanges of punches and low kicks, the fight began with a slight advantage for the Thai.

In the second round, the Azeri retaliated by landing some of his best punch combinations. But in the last round, Lerdsila showed why he is one of the greatest Muay Thai fighters of all time. He was dodging the attack like he was in the matrix and used clinches and knees to gain a great advantage winning by unanimous decision. Pinpetch faced Iranian Reza Razavi in one of the best fights of the night. The Thai was imposing from the start, showing a precise repertoire of punches, kicks, knees and elbows. Razavi showed a high degree of resilience during all the three rounds and also had some good moments, with spinning kicks but, in the end, the victory went to Pinpetch, by unanimous decision.

Adam Noi also delivered on his promise. The French/Algerian fighter faced Colombian Juan David Rios and won with an elbow in the first round, notching his fourth consecutive victory asking for the Bantamweight title shot next. Does he deserve it?

The organization's next stop will be Karate Combat 51, which will take place in December in Miami. More information about the date and card will be released soon.
