Luis Diogo v Jonas Correia

If approved Karate Combat’s Super Heavyweight (Over 205 lbs/93 kg with no upper weight limit) class will be renamed Heavyweight and given an upper weight limit of 265 lbs/120 kg. Also, Karate Combat’s current Heavyweight class will simply be renamed Light Heavyweight but keep its upper weight limit of 205 lbs/93 kg.

Kick-12: Should the Two Heaviest Weight Classes be Repositioned?

If approved, this KICK would authorize Karate Combat to set up a rewards pool for the $KARATE/HBAR pair in the SaucerSwap Incentive Program and Bonzo with help from Amplifi.

KICK-11: Support Community Efforts of Improving $KARATE Liquidity

KICK-10 permits elbow strikes in professional KC fights. The rule change is proposed to solidify the league’s position as the #1 striking league globally, simplify the ruleset and reduce tie-ups on the pit walls.

KICK-10: Add Elbow Strikes in professional fights.

KICK-9 proposes to permit low kicks to the thigh, removing the zone limitation and opening up the fighter's arsenal to include techniques from styles like Kyokushin. Refer to the discussion below, including the linked video from Georges St.-Pierre.

KICK-9: Vote to Modify Low Kick Rules

KICK-8 establishes a working group to explore, propose and develop $KARATE staking. Requiring players to lock $KARATE prior to voting would allow the league to expand the voting window and more effectively market Up Only Gaming.

KICK-8: Form working group to develop $KARATE staking.

KICK-7 proposes to modify the Clinch Rule as follows: No clinching, holding, or grabbing, except during active, effective striking. Refs will break inactive clinches, with point deductions for repeats. Details in the forum below.

KICK-7: Vote to Modify Clinch Fighting Rule

KICK-6 proposes to include KC’s spin-off IP, Pit Submission Series, in Up Only Gaming. The format is growing rapidly. In the future token holders and the foundation may decide it deserves its own token. Please see the forum discussion below.

KICK-6: Include Pit Submission Series in Up Only Gaming

KICK-5 proposes to roll over unused Up Only Gaming Rewards from No Contests and late cancellations. If approved, 18.7 million $KARATE from KC KICKBACK 1 will be added to the KC44/IFC prize pool. Please see the forum discussion below.

KICK-5: Roll over Up Only rewards from No Contests

KICK-4 proposes to eliminate the 5 second rule. The proposers believe that downed fighters have been using the rule to retreat to a fetal position to wait out the timer. Please see the forum discussion below, including the linked video explanations

KICK-4: Eliminate 5 second rule

KICK-3 proposes to reduce glove size. The proposers believe 4oz gloves align KC with other leagues and elevate action. 4 oz gloves were tested at KC41, which was arguably the best night of fights since 2022. Fighter feedback was also very positive.

KICK-3: Adopt 4 oz Gloves

KICK-2 proposes $KARATE grants as rewards to community members who provide $KARATE liquidity in the Uniswap Incentive Program and the SaucerSwap Protocol.

KICK-2: Support Community Efforts to Improve $KARATE liquidity
