Efrain Escudero

Efrain Escudero was born in Mexico, but was raised in Somerton, AZ from the age of 7. He was a troubled kid but found American Folk Style Wrestling and that was his way out. He wrestled in community college but would transfer to a D1 University. He would eventually take fifth place in the World at the height of his wrestling career. During this time he also started to fall in love with UFC at the time (2006) and realizing how well his wrestling background can transition to MMA he decided to start fighting. He loved the team aspect of combat sports but that ultimately it came down to himself. He loves that he is now fighting for Karate Combat and it feels like it’s “closing the circle” because growing up everyone looked up to Karate as the #1 Martial Art for self-defense.
