Bam Morris’s Martial Arts Journey would begin at the age 10 when his Grandmother would bring him to his Karate classes. After he moved from Detroit to a smaller and safer town, he would unfortunately face new dangers in the form of bullying. He was a prime target being a small guy (at the time) who loved comics. In the face of this adversity he would resume his martial arts training in Taekwondo and by studying kickboxing books at the local library. Around this time he would see his first UFC fight that created an early desire for competition in the young Morris. He would eventually get his chance at real fighting in the form of an underground fight league in High School. One of the competitors in this “fight club” had been training at a local mixed martial arts (MMA) gym and would invite Bam to train with him (after whooping him in a fight). After over 25 amateur fights he would become a pro fighter. His Pro Career would take him to Asia. First to Taiwan where he would also teach English with his wife. Then to Thailand where he would learn Muay Thai in the birthplace of the Art of 8 limbs. During this time he would also compete in ONE Warrior Series going 3-1. He would move back to the states during Covid and his fighting career would remain on hold for 5 years due to injury. Now fully recovered Bam Morris is back and looking forward to competing in the beautiful innovative stage that is the Karate Combat Pit.
