Shot on location in Los Angeles, New York and at the clandestine headquarters of the Karate Combat organization, the newly released short action-comedy Karate Combat: The Movie combines the narrative elements of the recent Karate Combat: Season 3 television series with previously unreleased footage to tell an enthralling story.

Featuring cult actor Danny ‘Machete’ Trejo, fellow martial arts legends Bas Rutten and Georges St-Pierre, along with cameo appearances by former UFC light-heavyweight champion Lyoto ‘The Dragon’ Machida plus Layla Anna-Lee and Robin BlackKarate Combat: The Movie requires no prior knowledge of Karate Combat to enjoy and underlines the organization’s status as the most original brand in sports-entertainment.

The 18-Minute Short Feature Premieres Thursday, December 16 At 12pm EST / 9am PT

“I had a lot of fun working on Karate Combat: Season 3. The combination of real fights with high-level production is completely unique and it was also an honor to share the screen with legends like Danny Trejo and Bas Rutten. It was my first time working with Karate Combat but won’t be my last!”

- Georges St-Pierre.

“Karate Combat is on a mission to be the most entertaining and original sports-entertainment organization on the planet. We’re showcasing the world’s best karate fighters but we’re having fun at the same time.

Season three was literally a Hollywood-level multi-million dollar production and had our most intricate narrative backdrop to date, which is why we decided to put it all together into a single feature which is unquestionably the greatest martial arts movie ever released by anyone, ever.”

- Adam Kovacs, Karate Combat President.

In Karate Combat: The Movie, Georges St-Pierre is giving private lessons to Danny Trejo when Bas Rutten arrives in possession of time-travel technology which allows them to travel back several centuries to old Japan and explore the roots of karate before catapulting forward into the future, where Karate Combat has become the #1 sport on the planet.

At every stage of the journey - including a detour into the ‘karate boom’ years of 1980s Hollywood - viewers can witness real, full-contact fights between Karate Combat competitors, including Louisianan welterweight champion Josh Quayhagen, lightweight champion Edgars Skrivers, and Irish standout Eoghan Chelmiah.
