Bruno Roberto De Assis

Since Bruno Assis was young he dreamed of becoming a fighter. However, the financial hardships his family faced after his father’s work accident seemed insurmountable. However, at the age of 9 he was able to step into the Karate world through a social project in Brazil. Here he would find refuge in the art and on the tatami. Training under Sensei Claudinei Pinheiro. However, to get to that next level, he would travel 2 hours by bus everyday to train with Sensei Willians Quirno (who is still in his corner to this day). Then, in 2023 he would travel to the US to train tirelessly under UFC Hall of Famer Uriah Faber at Team Alpha Male. Bruno Assis is a ferocious competitor when he's inside the Karate Combat Pit. One of the reasons his nickname, "The White Dragon," makes sense, is that you can literally hear him ROARING in the locker room and backstage before a fight. It's LOUD. When he's not fighting, he's probably the most smiley fighter on the KC roster! And sometimes he even smiles during the toughest moments of his fights.For Bruno fighting in Karate Combat feels like he is fulfilling a lifelong dream. He wants to be more than an athlete, more than a fighter, he wants to be an inspiration. He aims to show everyone that, regardless of difficulties, dreams can become reality-not only in sports but in life as well.
